What are we looking for?
We are looking for writers who have a passion for writing articles on different world cultures, either in terms of traveling, or in terms of world cinema.
Write about FILM | You don’t shy away from watching films with subtitles and are able to write beautiful in-depth long-form articles on those films that inspired you most. Unleash your passion for writing by reviewing, previewing and debating films from around the world, whether they are made in China, Slovenia or Uruguay! From Hollywood blockbusters to independent films – cinema is your language!
Write about TRAVEL | Put pen to paper to describe those wonderful places you visited, the cultures you explored and the communities you engaged with. We’re looking for inspiring travel stories, great or small, that you feel will make the world a little richer. Any place you haven’t been is a place where you’d love to be.
What’s it like to write for us?
As a writer for The Bite-Sized Backpacker, you can choose to be a regular contributor or a one-time writer. The number of articles you write is flexible.
You are free to write features, op-ed articles, reviews, previews, film analyses, travelogues, travel tips, guides, articles, and more. If you can make your articles entertaining, informative and creative, we’re interested!
Please be aware that this is not a paid position – all work done on our platform is voluntary, for people who love travel, films and more. The Bite-Sized Backpacker is used to generate donations, in order to contribute to the welfare of wild cats, and the preservation of their habitats.
There may be opportunities to earn some money occasionally, depending on how popular posts become.
