The leopard. What to say about these magnificent creatures? At The Bite-Sized Backpacker we are of course a huge fan of these lightning-fast animals: our travel mascot Fluffy is one of them! Our brave plushie leopard traveled through Europe, Southeast Asia, Oceania and beyond. Leopard stuffed animals are cool on the one hand, but on the other hand just as soft and cute as other plushies. They hunt zebras, protect themselves from elephants and sometimes fight lions and crocodiles.

Leopard plushie characteristics
Leopards are one of Africa’s most iconic animal species. They are extremely intelligent, strong and as fast as the wind. Leopard stuffed animals are also excellent hunters, due to their unique combination of strength, speed and agility. Zebra plushies, be warned!
Looking at their physical characteristics, leopards are easily recognized by their short, muscular neck and a long tail. The fur of stuffed leopards is speckled, often brown, yellow or gray. They have a large head with beautiful yellow-brown eyes and their powerful legs contain sharp claws. As luck would have it, you’ll sometimes see one walking with a backpack – but then you’ve probably bumped into our mascot Fluffy!
Famous Leopards (available as stuffed animals)
Fluffy H. Nijdam started his film career with the film Acht (2008) and decided to go out into the world after filming. Amon others, he visited Australia, New Zealand and Thailand. Fluffy serves as an inspiration for Draw for Wild Cats and is committed to supporting the Northern Tanzania Big Cats Conservation Initiative of African People & Wildlife. Although the leopard stuffed animal has slowly lost his iconic spots due to the many travels, he still stands its ground even after more than 10 years.
There are some famous leopards in the movie world: for example Agent Benjamin Clawhauser, a character from the Disney movie Zootopia (2016). Clawhauser is a leopard working as a police officer in Zootopia. The cop is very friendly and always willing to help, but also has the classic love of donuts that many police characters have.
In the series Timon & Pumbaa (1995) a less friendly authoritarian leopard appeared; King Leopold, the ruthless king of leopards. Meerkat Timon and warthog Pumbaa defeat the leopard together with the other animals in the jungle.
Another famous Disney leopard is Bagheera from The Jungle Book (1967) and the storybook of the same name by the English author Rudyard Kipling from 1894. Bagheera is a black leopard and belongs to the panther family. Bagheera’s evil counterpart, leopard Sabor, is featured in Tarzan (1999), who murdered Tarzan’s parents.
