Snake plushie characteristics

Snakes are cold-blooded animals that usually live above ground. They have a long, narrow body with scales and skin that is often covered in fun colorful patterns. Most snakes don’t have legs, but some have short prongs that are used to help climb trees. While some species of snake have virtually no teeth, others have very highly developed – often poisonous – teeth. One of their stand-out features is their forked tongue, which they use to detect odors.

Snakes have special jaws that can be used to grasp their prey. They eat reptiles, bunnies, birds, bugs, and mice. Snakes have many muscles that help them crawl and climb. Snake plushies are very flexible as well, and can be displayed and cuddled in many different ways. Snakes are found all over the world. Yet they are most commonly found in warm, tropical areas.

Famous Snakes (available as stuffed animals)

A very well known snake is Kaa from the movie The Jungle Book (1967), based on the book by Rudyard Kipling. Kaa is a snake that lives in the jungle. He is a smart, but also a bit of a deceitful snake, who tries to eat the main character Mowgli. Kaa is able to hypnotize its prey before eating.

Kaa is Walt Disney Animation Studios’ most popular snake, but not the only one. In Robin Hood (1973), Sir Hiss appeared as Prince John’s advisor and assistant. Sir Hiss is often compared to Kaa, as they have similar appearance and hypnotic powers. Like many of the other characters and animation sequences from Robin Hood, Sir Hiss was also created using recycled animation. Both Kaa and Sir Hiss are available as stuffed animals.

A third famous snake is Nagini, who first appeared in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, the fourth book in the Harry Potter series. Nagini is actually a Maledictus – a woman with a blood curse who will eventually turn completely into an animal. She is the “pet” of Harry’s nemesis, Lord Voldemort, and served as one of his Horcruxes. As a plushie, nagini is a lot more habitable.
