About Luna
Luna is a well-read bunny from Iceland, living in New York City in the United States of America. She loves reading books, travelling – and the color orange! Luna is a self-described ‘bookstagrammer’ on Instagram, who offers book recommendations for her loyal followers. Recent favorites were Nicholas Eames’ Kings of the Wyld, about a group of aged mercs going on a dangerous mission to save one of their daughters, and Naomi Novik’s Throne of Jade, a fantasy novel set during an alternate history version of the Napoleonic Wars, in which dragons are used for warfare in Asia and Europe. The ecletic bunny met her humans in Rye Brook, a small village located in Westchester County, New York. The village is situated in a suburban area and is known for its safe and friendly community. Rye Brook offers everything the little bunny might want when putting down her book: there are several parks and hiking trails, making it an ideal location for nature lovers.
Travel with Luna
Luna has been all over: she visited Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Estonia, Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Costa Rica, St. Petersburg in Russia, and England and Scotland in the United Kingdom. In Sicily, Italy she had a small accident, losing her tail. In additon to her faraway travels, Luna also road tripped the U.S.A. itself. In the end, however, her favorite destination is New Zealand, which combines her love for nature with her love for The Lord of the Rings. The Lord of the Rings trilogy, directed by Peter Jackson, and based on the novels by J.R.R. Tolkien, was filmed in New Zealand, which served as the perfect location for Middle Earth. The country’s varied landscapes, from rolling hills and lush forests to snow-capped mountains and rugged coastlines, provided the stunning backdrops for the epic adventure. The trilogy also had a significant impact on New Zealand’s economy and tourism industry, as fans continue to visit the country to see the filming locations and immerse themselves in Middle Earth. Luna’s next port of call? India!
