About Lorenzo
Out of the jungle and into the cities he goes: Lorenzo the Great is a monkey who loves adventure! Lorenzo is a California native who moved to Paris for the opportunity of a (plushie) lifetime, working as an English teacher’s assistant. Singing and dancing, Lorenzo helps to make English learning fun. When he’s not up to monkey business or Instagramming, he enjoys picnicking in Parisian parks, monkeying around museums, and eating tasty treats garnished with bananas – waffles are his favorite! You also might be surprised to find Lorenzo jazzing it up on the piano or going bananas cooking in the kitchen! He’s a monkey of many talents and he wants to share it all with the world to make you smile as big as he does.
Inspired by his students and the streets of Paris, Lorenzo is now working on creating his first children’s story, Lorenzo Goes Bananas in Paris. He is also the winner of the Plushie of the Year-contest 2020-2021 on The Instaplushies!
Travel with Lorenzo
Since settling in his new home of Paris, Lorenzo’s ventures have been close to home, from the French coasts and countrysides to the canals of Amsterdam, and as far as the cathedral of Cologne. Traveling by train, Lorenzo loves sitting window side to take in the view! He absolutely recommends a train ride through the French Alps to the valley of Chamonix-Mont-Blanc; it’s especially beautiful in the snow!
Lorenzo’s other recommended travel destinations include the Emerald Coast along the northern Bretagne coast of France, the epic Abbey of Mont-Saint-Michel in Normandy, France, and the perfectly plushie-sized Mini-Europe in Brussels, Belgium. He also believes you can’t possibly leave Belgium without going to Chocolate Nation in Antwerp: you’ll go bananas in the tasting room! Lorenzo is a monkey with a sophisticated palette and loves to try local specialties wherever he goes. When in France he insists you try raclette (a cheese served melted with potatoes – a specialty of the Alps) and of course when visiting you simply must have a banana-Nutella crêpe in his honor.
